A recent study made by SurveyMonkey on behalf of investment app, Acorns, showed that more millennials spend their money on coffee instead of saving for their retirement. The survey also proved that young women between 18-35 years old have a higher consumption rate than men.
For non-millennials and non-coffee drinkers, that should make you scratch your head, right? I mean, duh, it’s JUST coffee! But well, coffee drinkers will surely answer you back with: “No, it’s NOT just coffee!” And here’s why:
1. They find it addicting
Most coffee drinkers have no other reason than this fact: Coffee is addicting. Whether it’s brewed or instant; hot or cold coffee, they definitely can’t get enough of it.
2. They love it because of its taste
Ah, you wouldn’t like any drink that doesn’t sit well with your taste buds right? Apparently, the bitterness of coffee appeals to the taste of many young women today.
3. Coffee perks them up and helps them to focus
The caffeine content present in coffee boosts people’s energy and concentration levels, allowing them to stay attuned and most of all, focused with the task at hand when they are already tired or distracted.
4. Coffee enables them to have proper digestion
Ah, here’s a rather unconventional remedy for poor bowel movement. Though it may sound a bit weird, it actually works for some people! If you have tried eating oatmeal and bananas to no avail, perhaps all you need is a cup of coffee.
5. It gives off a soothing feeling
Some young women love to drink coffee not merely because of its taste or benefits, rather, they find the act of drinking coffee a pleasurable and relaxing experience.
6. Drinking coffee has been equated to having conversations with a friend
Among millennials, to have a cup of coffee with a friend means catching up with all the goings on in their lives. So don’t be surprised when you find coffee shops around the metro bustling with noisy, chatty, but very happy millennials. They are probably catching up with each other!
7. It’s been scientifically proven that drinking coffee dictates how well you do in bed
