Azalea. What’s in a name?

Azalea is a brightly coloured flowering shrub that blooms in spring, with its sometimes-fragrant flowers usually lasting several weeks. Its name is the feminine version of the Greek name azaleos, which means “dry” because this shrub from the family of Rhododendron thrives in arid earth. Culturally speaking, Chinese use Azalea to great extent in contemporaneous stories by various authors. For Brazilians, Azalea is symbol to the city of Sao Paulo. For Filipinos, Azalea is home to travelers looking for the luxury of a hotel and the comforts of one’s humble abode.

What started out in the cold regions of Baguio has now made its way to the warm, scenic island of Boracay. Azalea Hotels and Residences opened its Boracay branch to the public on June 1, 2015. It is conveniently located strides away from the famous Boracay shore. Covering a total land of 5,700 square meters, this hotel has 258 all-suite rooms to offer guests and travelers once completed. It prides itself on having luxurious amenities that could be enjoyed by anyone staying in the hotel. Couple this with great activities and sights to do in Boracay and you’re in for a very memorable and pleasurable vacation experience.
