Tom Holland has been dominating Hollywood as of late – as he led a team of Spidermen in the record-breaking MCU movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, there’s Uncharted, another potentially box-office record-breaking film that Holland stars in. To celebrate the premiere of Uncharted in US theaters, he took to Instagram and had a photoshoot with — puppies?
If you’re a fan of Holland, you’d probably know that the guy is a perennial puppy lover. He’s done several interviews and videos that somehow involve him petting a large number of cute puppers. You can see a perfect example here below:
The British A-list actor also has patted and played therapy dogs while accompanying his fellow co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batallion in a video by Collider Extras. He is also the proud owner of Tessa, a blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
So, it makes perfect sense for Holland to celebrate the premiere of Uncharted with a puppy photoshoot, despite the film not being a story about dogs (as far as I know). In Uncharted, Tom Holland stars as a young Nathan Drake, a street-smart kid recruited by Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Walhberg) to recover a lost fortune. This movie is actually a prequel to the widely popular Uncharted video game series. Although it hasn’t been necessarily well-received by critics (39% on Rotten Tomatoes), it is still on its way to being a box-office success, as it gained $44 million on its opening weekend.
Uncharted premieres in Philippine theaters on February 23, 2022.
