‘The Batman’ movie will be almost 3 hours long

The newest Batman movie will have a whopping 2 hour and 55-minute (175 minutes) long run-time, including the 8-minute long credits. Without the credits, the film would run for 167 minutes. That’s more minutes than Christopher Nolan’s longest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, which had a run-time of 165 minutes.

The Batman is one of the longest blockbuster superhero movies ever, a close third behind the MCU’s Avengers: Endgame (181 minutes) and Zach Snyder’s cut of the Justice League (242 minutes).

Recently, films have become longer and longer in terms of run-time. The latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die, is 163 minutes long, and even Marvel’s Eternals passed the two-hour mark (165 minutes).

Matt Reeves himself has had lengthy movies in the past. He directed War for the Planet the Apes and its sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes respectively, with run-times of 140 minutes and 130 minutes.
