Many expressed their sympathy and commemorated him for his remarkable performance as an actor.

Xavier Dolan, who directed It’s Only the End of the World, also paid tribute to Ulliel with a touching post in French on Instagram. Dolan wrote: “This is unimaginable, senseless, and so pitiful to even think about writing these words. Your discreet laugh, your attentive eye. Your scar. Your talent. You’re listening. Your whispers, your kindness. Every feature of your person was actually made from a sparkly sweetness. It’s your whole being that transformed my life, a being that I loved deeply, and I will always love. I can’t say anything else, I’m drained, ringing by your departure.” (Translation from Instagram)

Ulliel is survived by his girlfriend, French model and singer Gaëlle Pietri, and their 6-year-old son Orso. /TV
