Twitter poll reveals Japan’s top animes of the decade

On September 2, anime news site Anime Senpai, released the results of a Twitter poll conducted to determine what the most popular anime of the decade is. 

With more than 1,000 fansof varying tasteparticipating in the poll, the results may or may not be what you were expecting.

3. Orgeairu: My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong, as I Expected (aka. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFUYahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru)

 

4. Violet Evergarden

 

5. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai)

 

Surprised not to see your favorite series in the top 5? Well, here are some honorable mentions.

Coming in at number 30 is Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon). Everyone’s favorite class of assassins (led by an assassin squid) Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) took the 25th spot.

The heartbreaking Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) snagged the 22nd spot. Both My Hero Academia (#17- Boku no Hero Academia) and Attack on Titan (#12- Shingeki no Kyojin) did not make it to the top 10, while Steins;Gate secured the 10th place.

Hundreds of anime have been released in the past decade, all catering to the taste of different anime lovers. Do you agree with the rankings? What do you think deserves to rank higher on the list?
