Diehard fans of kdrama actor Lee Min Ho were up in arms recently after Youtube vlogger and social media influencer Donnalyn Bartolome posted a video of herself using the title “GIFTS I GOT FOR MY BIRTHDAY (Lee Min Ho sent me a gift!?).
Bartolome recently celebrated her birthday and in the video, she’s opening gifts from various brands. One gift was from a beauty care company based in Singapore, and they gave the vlogger a sample of their product together with a small envelope containing a set of photos of celebrity endorser Lee Min Ho.
When she saw the photos, she exclaimed that the gift was from Lee Min Ho. She even tagged the actor on Instagram when she posted a photo of the product.
Fanatics of the “The King: Eternal Monarch” lead actor were not too pleased with her posts, and one fan even went so far as message the company that gave her the gift to confirm.
The company disclosed that they gave the product to Bartolome as a gift.
The fan, who posted the screenshot of the conversation with the company, said that exposing the truth behind the matter was not to bash the influencer in any way but to avoid confusion among Lee Min Ho’s fans.
Even if Bartolome’s claim is not real, the clickbait sure did the trick. It got people to talk about her and her vlog, and she’s all the better for it. Any publicity is good publicity, is what they always say.
