Jason Mraz ‘Look for the Good’ out now

Grammy-winning artist Jason Mraz will release his latest album, Look For The Good, Friday, June 19th. Earlier today, Mraz announced in a post that all of his profits from the album, including his label advance and subsequent royalties, will be donated to various non-profit organizations.

“On June 19th, a historic day in the advancement of equality, I am proud to stand in solidarity with and be of service to Black Lives by donating all of my earnings from sales and streams of my new LP recording, Look For The Good,” said Mraz in a statement.

“A time has come to act beyond promises, thoughts, and prayers.”

The initial six beneficiaries of Look For The Good are as follows:

In his statement, Mraz quoted the lyrics of the track “Make Love” from Look For The Good. Today he released a video performance of that song recorded at his home, dubbed the “Mranch,” filmed prior to quarantine.

To celebrate the album’s release, tomorrow Mraz will perform the album’s title track, “Look For The Good,” on CBS’s “The Talk.” The song has surpassed 10 million streams cumulatively. Tonight, Mraz will host a special album release edition of his “La La La Livestream” on his YouTube channel at 7 PM Pacific/10 PM Eastern.

Look For The Good captures Mraz’s career-long love for reggae music. Actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish as well as reggae icon Sister Carol make guest appearances on the album, which begins and ends with the same phrase: “look for the good.” A full tracklist is available below, and the album is now available for preorder.
