LOOK: Eagle-eyed fans spot ‘Hydro Flask’ and water bottle in a ‘Little Women’ scene

The critically acclaimed film “Little Women” was one of the most talked-about films last year, featuring some of the best actresses of this generation, including Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Laura Dern, and the legendary Meryl Streep. Despite Greta Gerwig being snubbed for a Best Director nomination in several award-giving bodies,  Little Women received six nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Ronan), Best Supporting Actress (Pugh), and Best Adapted Screenplay, and bagged the Best Costume Design.

While this film adaptation of the 1896 novel of the same title by Louisa May Alcott was well-received by critics and cinephiles, it turns out that Little Women missed out on some details while filming and editing. Recently, some eagle-eyed fans noticed things that shouldn’t be in a scene with Timothée Chalamet.

A  stainless steel water bottle that looks like a Hydro Flask and a plastic water bottle were seen in the background during the scene where the March family comes to pick up an injured Amy.

A video originally shared on TikTok by madelynrancourt, who has seen the film seven times, pointed out the out-of-place objects “casually sitting there” during some of the scenes.

After her first TikTok video about the infamous water bottles in Little Women went viral, she made a follow-up video and mentioned how the cast and Greta Gerwig did a breakdown of the scenes for Vanity Fair—where the water bottles are clearly seen—and didn’t even notice them.

Like her, fans on Twitter couldn’t believe that the water bottles made it in the final cut of the movie.

Some say that Timothée Chalamet was just way ahead of his time with these modern-day items in a film set in the 1890s.

People also pointed out that it’s not a Hydro Flask, but a Yeti instead.

Others couldn’t help but recall Game of Throne’s Starbucks cup (that is actually not a Starbucks cup).

Maybe we’ll have to wait if the editors or producers of Little Women will resolve this by digitally editing it out of the scene just like HBO did with that Game of Thrones episode.
