A group of police officers sang and danced for residents staying indoors amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown in Spain.
The authorities announced their arrival in a neighborhood in Algaida, Majorca using their car’s sirens as per The Independent’s Indy100 yesterday, March 22. Twitter user @adamarch83 uploaded a clip of the performance on the same day.
The officers then parked their cars on a road between rows of houses. Once the police stood apart from each other, one man shouts, “We’ve come to sing!” in Spanish.

The police squad immediately begins performing a sing-along version of “Joan Petit”, a Catalan children’s song which is similar to “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, as per report.
One policeman accompanies their little show with a guitar while the rest clap and dance to the tune. The neighbors appear to welcome the performance and later join the officers in clapping. One of the officers belonged to a singing group and they continued to sing to other nearby areas throughout the day, as per Diario de Mallorca via Indy100.
Spain has been placed under lockdown since March 14, following an increase in the number of infections in the said country. More than 28,000 people have contracted COVID-19 in the said country while a total of 1,720 have died. JB
