Throughout the years, the Regionalization Student Organization (RSO) has sought to raise awareness among medical and allied health students and professionals directed towards strengthening community health support. At the forefront of these projects is the Philippine Conference on Community Health (PCCH). In the previous years, PCCH tackled topics such as the Philippine health system, career paths, and innovations in healthcare, as well as disaster risk reduction and management. On its 7th year, the conference will take a closer look on our society and at the different threads that intertwine to create the fabric that is our health system with the theme “HABI: Pagbubuklod ng mga Salik ng Lipunan Bilang Tugon sa Kalusugang Pangkomunidad” .
At the core of the Philippine health care system is community health. Therefore, it is important to understand how different sectors of society function towards achieving health for all. This year’s conference aims to provide a holistic approach by going beyond the biomedical and focusing on the social determinants of health.
