Do you want to know more about the province of Pangasinan? Aside from its salt, puto, and bangus, there’s a lot more to this northwestern Philippine province.
Aiming to promote cultural knowledge and awareness about Pangasinan, the University of the Philippines Subol Society (UPSS) will hold the 40th Padunungan with the theme “Rekindling the Fire: Establishing the Youth’s Involvement on Social Change and Innovation,” at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center, Lingayen, Pangasinan on January 6-7, 2020.
Padunungan is an annual competition participated by elementary and high school students from schools all over Pangasinan. From its humble beginnings as a quiz bee four decades ago, it has now come to include other contests such as video-making, essay and poem writing, extemporaneous speaking, poster-slogan making, folk dance, singing, and sabayang pagbigkas competition.
