This year, the UP Organization of Business Economics Majors held its 32nd Anniversary Week with the theme Trouvaille; celebrating thirty-two years of journeying together and finding their own lucky finds.
They started their celebration by giving back to society by heading a donation drive called Drive-Thru. Wherein not only members of the organization were encouraged to donate but also the whole body of UP School of Economics. This event aims to promote the spirit of service, one of the three precepts of UP OBEM.
Afterward, they had Route-32, a gallery launch that highlights the organization’s achievements and events throughout its 32 years of promoting unity, service, and excellence. It also shows how the organization helped build strong friendships. Moreover, it will show UP OBEM’s significant contribution to the UP School of Economics community and strengthen its presence as the sole business-oriented, socio-academic organization in the college.
They then held another activity which is the entitled Hop-in, and OBEM x UPSE friendship day that fostered camaraderie between OBEM and other organizations of ASEO, as well as faculty and staff of UPSE.
As we all know, college life can be energy-depleting. That’s why this year, the organization came up with Refuel, a tambay activity where OBEMers are given the chance to loosen up and relax. A movie screening was done in the tambayan, with snacks served and little notes of hope passed on. The members gathered and enjoyed each other’s company while taking a break from their everyday tasks.
Last but not the least, UP OBEM held its Culmination Night: Trouvaille. It served as the organization’s Alumni Homecoming and Recognition Night where members and alumni will gather to celebrate UP OBEM’s 32 years of unity, service, and excellence.
That wrapped it up for UP OBEM’s 32nd Anniversary Week, and we are excited what our lucky finds we are yet to encounter on our 33rd year in this journey.
