In celebration of their 84th Anniversary, the UP Filipiniana Dance Group will be staging a dance concert entitled “Pamana”.
“Pamana”, will be both a retrospection of the research, documentation, and art of Prof. Reyes-Aquino and of our pursuit to continue her legacy through further study and research on Philippine songs and dances. The concert will also premiere the group’s “Ivatan Suite.” A suite of songs and dances of the people of Batanes which is the result of the collaboration of UP Filipiniana and the Ivatan tribal council. And lastly, Pamana will be presenting contemporary, jazz, and modern dance pieces that draw its inspirations from our culture, traditions, and beliefs for use in the creative performance arts.
The show will be held on December 8, 2019 (3 pm and 7 pm) at the College of Human Kinetics of UP Diliman. Tickets are P150 (UP students and faculty), P200 (Non-UP student), P300 (regular price).
