‘Party like it’s 1999’: Backstreet’s back in Manila for their one-night concert

American boy band The Backstreet Boys (BSB) was formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993. They gained popularity with their hit songs like “As Long As You Love Me”, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”, and “Quit Playing Games (with My Heart).”

The group consists of  AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Nick Carter were back in Manila last October 28, 2019, for their DNA World Tour held at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The arena was filled with ’90s pop music as the boys performed  “I Want It That Way”, “Shape Of My Heart”, “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”, “Everybody”, “Get Down”, “More Than That”, “We’ve Got It Goin’ On”, “Quit Playing Games” and “Anywhere For You”.

When they said they could still “party like it’s 1999”, the arena suddenly turned into a dance party venue. They also performed some fan favorites like “As Long As You Love Me”, “All I Have To Give”, “Larger Than Life”, “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely”, “The One”, “The Call”, “Drowning”, “Incomplete”, “No Place”.

The audience got more thrilled when each member started reminiscing about their childhood and teenage years.
