COSLANDIA 2019 returns this November for an ultimate J Culture festival

Geek out but don’t freak out as COSLANDIA, the ultimate Japanese culture (J Culture) festival, returns on its second year to showcase the kawaii-est J Culture craze from idols, cosplay, anime, manga, gaming and e-sports. 

COSLANDIA 2019 is set to take fans on a power-packed three-day event on November 1, 2 and 3 at SMX Aura, Taguig City with JPOP idol concerts, free movie screenings, cosplay competitions, meet-and-greet sessions with guest artists, exclusive merchandise, exciting booths and games, e-sports tournaments and many more. 

Hosted by Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. in partnership with Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, World Cosplay Summit Philippines, Pop Culture Hiroshima Philippines and Japan Foundation, this year’s festival aims to gather Japanese subcultures in one big event to give Pinoy fans the ultimate J Culture experience while celebrating the fascinating and distinctive features of Japanese pop culture with this year’s highlights. 

Leading COSLANDIA 2019’s guest and activity line-up are J-Pop idols namely Pastel Mix, 1-Girls, Fairytale, Amatsusora, Gracorex, Hirotoshi “TJ” Maeda, Hazuki Tsubasa, Tomoka, Samero and Ebisu Muscats together with Philippines’ very own MNL48, who will also launch their new card game app and will be singing COSLANDIA 2019 theme song. The idols are expected to bring loud cheers and chants from fans as they will hit the stage for live performances. 

Various cosplay activities will also highlight the event which will be headed by event partners. World Cosplay Summit Philippines (WCS) will be bringing guest cosplayers WCS Team Philippines and will stage solo cosplay competitions with themes “Armor and Cloth” and “Hero and Heroine”, and a trick-or-treat costume contest for kids in celebration of the Halloween. 

Meanwhile, Pop Culture Hiroshima Philippines (PCH) will bring PCH Team Philippines as guest cosplayers and will take its first NCR Qualifiers to the festival where winning cosplayers will have the opportunity to compete in the finals and represent the Philippines in Japan for the April 2020 annual Pop Culture Hiroshima. 

Also, joining this year’s fun are international cosplayers, Miku 16 and the people behind the upcoming live-action film adaptation Seikimatsu Blue, based on the popular fantasy-supernatural manga series of the same name created by manga artist Shintaro Hirota, who will grace the event together with the film director Tetsuya Hashi and casts members MNL48 members Abby, Coleen, Brei and Kay. 

In addition, J Culture icons such as Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel, Rilakkuma and Pikachu will also make a special appearance for an exclusive photo and meet-and-greet sessions. Plus, free movie screening of Mazinger Z: Infinity and life-size figure display of Voltes V brought to us by Telesuccess Productions Inc., Coslandia Girls Collection fashion show and more. 

COSLANDIA 2019 is sponsored by Pioneer Films, who will provide attendees film screenings of hit anime movies – Your Name, A Silent Voice, and Your Lie in April and Brother Philippines who will be providing event shirts, bags and other cool items. Participating Sponsors also include Creative Nation Academy for a live animation and imaging demonstrations using Adobe Creative Cloud, RapidShots360° Video Booth, Creativoices, Oishi and Lemon Square Lava Cake. Moreover, Naruto Cosplayers Philippines and Red Cloud Interactive will conduct J Culture Hour and bronze sponsor Fujifilm Instax Philippines will host a photo booth.
