Fraternal Order of Utopia celebrates Halloween with special needs organizations

Last October 13, the Fraternal Order of Utopia held their “Utopia Special U-lympics,” a day spent interacting with and learning from special needs children organized in the Ateneo de Manila University campus.

The Order of Utopia, established in 1964, is a professional organization of lawyers and law students. Their alumni base boasts of several Bar top-notchers and more than a thousand strong lawyers engaged in both private and public practice. Their aim is to instill the values of Service, Sacrifice and Excellence in our members through various developmental activities.

Through the Special U-lympics, the participants had the opportunity to commune with and play alongside the differently-abled members of the community from the Autism Society of the Philippines, Special Olympics Philippines, and the Lourdes Center for the Handicapped.

The day consisted of an amazing race that was conducted around the campus of the Ateneo de Manila University, various parlor games and booths, and performances both from the students and from the special-needs children. Members from the Women of Aleitheia, Lex Athenia Victoria Inc., and Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority also participated as partners and groupmates of the kids throughout the event.
