Isabelans go Back to BaSICs for Homecoming

Santa Isabel College Manila (SICM) will be holding its 83rd Grand Alumni Homecoming and celebrate a whole day event on September 14, 2019, Saturday, from 9am to 3pm. Dubbed as, “Back to BaSICs: Here We Go Again,” this year’s homecoming will gather together all the alumnae of SICM, especially its Jubilarians from the following batches: 1959 (Diamond), 1969 (Golden), 1979 (Ruby), 1989 (Pearl) and 1994 (Silver).

The Silver Jubilarians, the lead host batch for this year, has spearheaded a fundraising event for SICM last July 20, 2019, Saturday, with the block screening of the renowned 1994 Walt Disney film, The Lion King, shown at Powerplant Cinema 4. It was well-supported and well-attended by Isabelans across all age groups, together with their families and friends.

As a prelude to the September 14 big event, there will be a series of activities to highlight the Isabelans’ collective commitment to sustain SICM for years to come, headed by the Silver Jubilarians. Last August 24, 2019, 4pm, a special token of gratitude from the lead host batch was given: a vertical composting garden for the school canteen. Dubbed as #LuntiangAbel, the SIC community was given an orientation on how to grow their own vegetables which will promote healthy food for everyone in the school. On September 8, 2019, there will be a whole day Medical Mission and Feeding Program at SICM school grounds. Dubbed as #Kalusuganatkarunungan, donations for medicines and books are welcome as these will be turned over to the school clinic and library respectively. On September 14, feastday Holy Mass begins at 9:00 am followed by day-long activities, lunch and program that culminate at 3:00 pm. Dubbed as #goodvibeslang, feastday activities will spillover to a special treat and tribute for the teachers in the evening, as organized by the Silver Jubilarians.

Isabelans shall experience how it feels like to go Back to BaSICs, revisiting the place where everything began yet once and again.
