IN PHOTOS: Rick Price serenaded Filipino fans during his ‘Heaven Knows PH Tour’

The 1990s’ music scene was dominated by punk rockers, rappers, and balladeers. And one of the most iconic musicians at the time was Rick Price, who became a household name for his songs “Heaven Knows,” “Not A Day Goes By,” and “Walk Away Renee” to name a few.

Ever since the release of his debut album “Heaven knows” in the ‘90s, the Australian singer and songwriter has captured the hearts and souls of fans worldwide. The last time he was here was during his promotional trip in 1992. But 26 years later, Price came back to the Philippines–and this time, it was for a Valentine’s Day concert tour in Cebu and Manila.

Jinky Vidal, the former lead vocalist of Freestyle, was the opening act for Rick Price’s “Heaven Knows Tour.” She performed “Before I Let You Go,” “So Slow,” “This Time,” and “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang?”

The crowd took a trip down memory lane as they sang along to Joey Generoso’s well-loved hits including “Forevermore,” “So Many Questions,” and “Got To Believe In Magic.”

Price performed a cover of “Make You Feel My Love”, a song that was originally written by Bob Dylan. Apart from that, he also had his own rendition of Alicia Key’s “If I Ain’t Got You” and Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody.”

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without sharing the stage with OPM icons, Jinky Vidal and Joey G. They performed alongside Price in the song “Where is the Love” and James Taylor’s “You’ve Got a Friend.” Then, the singer capped off the night with a performance of “Heaven Knows,” which was undeniably the highlight of the show.

Presented by Wilbros Live, his concert in Manila happened last February 15, 2019, at the New Frontier Theater.
