LIYAB: A Benefit Concert for the Fiery Filipino Heart

Ateneo De Manila Senior High School’s class of 11-Hurtado proudly presents Liyab, a benefit concert that’s sure to heat up the crowds with its fiery lineup of bands Itchyworms, Moonstar88, Autotelic, The Ransom Collective, Munimuni, Over October, Lola Amour, Kremesoda, and Alyson, which also showcases opening acts by Ateneo’s very own Sunny Side Up and Lucy Dee. This once-in-a-lifetime event opens on February 23, 2019 at the Loyola Schools Covered Courts in the Ateneo De Manila University. Concert gates open at 6:00 PM for just ₱350 per person, and tickets can be pre-ordered by visiting tinyurl.com/preorders-liyab to avail online. Walk-ins will also be available for ₱400 on the concert day itself.

Liyab is more than just a concert. It’s part of the ASHS Katipunan Fund Drive (KFD), an annual fundraiser for beneficiaries such as Buklod ng Tao People’s Organization, Samahan sa Kababaihan ng Rizal, people affected by the Marawi Siege, victims affected by the typhoons last 2018, and many more.

In light of the KFD spirit, the campfire theme of Liyab embodies the essence of warmth, openness, and love. Liyab’s celebration of OPM aims to encourage camaraderie between concertgoers through a shared passion for music, all the while amping up the feeling of fulfillment by being an avenue for everyone to take part in a bigger cause.

Despite the daily struggles and poverties in our country, there’s always a blazing fire that can be lit amidst the chill. Everyone’s contribution to Liyab will greatly benefit those in need, with music to bring us together around the campfire. See you there!
