Google always believed in a mission to “organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful”, powering GDG PH’s belief that when developers gather and exchange ideas, great and exciting possibilities can happen. This year GDG PH, a group of enthusiastic Filipino developers committed in helping developers enhance their skill on their particular fields of interest; will be holding the fourth-year of Android Masters competition with Eclaro Business Solutions, a business and technology consulting firm hosting the event on its second year.
Android Masters is a collegiate inter-school Android app development challenge made and organized by GDG PH. This competition is open to all universities, colleges and schools across the Philippines. Now on its fourth year, Android Masters is opening the competition to Senior High students. This event is designed to bring out the creative thoughts of students and turn their innovative ideas into an app and publish it to Google Play Store.
Students submitted their app ideas last September 02, 2018 and this year’s app entries made a significant increase from last year’s overall with an overwhelming total of 203 entries from 58 participating schools across the country as with their entries categorizing on apps for social goods or game apps.
Deadline of app submissions is on October 13, 2018 as participants are expected to submit and publish their respective apps on Play Store.
Preliminary judging is on October 27, 2018 with the witnessing of Android Masters, the Finals on Nov. 17, 2018 at Techportal, UP Technohub, Diliman, Quezon City
