Beyond Emojis: Seeking Accessibility

From October 16-19, 2018, the UP Psychology Society brings you, Beyond Emojis: Seeking Accessibility, a celebration of National Mental Health Month 2018.

For the past three years, UP PsychSoc has been the pioneer of this weeklong event that focuses on breaking the stigma that comes with mental health issues. This year, we plan to elevate our advocacy by celebrating mental health action, and we will prepare a line-up of activities ranging from panel discussions to interactive activities that can cater to the needs of students both inside and outside the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman). Other personalities that have joined us in our advocacy are Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Risa Hontiveros, and Ms. Shamaine Buencamino.

This year we celebrate our 4th National Mental Health Week starting with Immerse, a Mental Health Fair featuring dogs and various mental health booth services throughout the week at the Palma Hall Lobby from October 16-18; relax and recreate through a Yoga Workshop and other refreshing activities at Invigorate: Mental Health Workshops on the 18th at the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Wellness Center, and ignite your knowledge about mental health in Ignite: Nurturing our Mental Health: Promoting Inclusion and Accommodation Policies in the University on Oct. 19th, Friday, at the Malcolm Hall Theater.

Every thought, every feeling, and every moment counts. No one should be left behind. Join UP PsychSoc and spread the awareness on mental health!
