Adamson U launches ‘PASINAYAAN 2018’

Every year, Adamson University formally welcomes its new breed of Adamsonians through the Welcome Week celebration wherein the freshmen and transferees are marked as true Adamsonians through the handprint as its emblem. The event takes its inspiration from the statue of Dr. George Lucas Adamson and St. Vincent De Paul situated in front of the SV Building. It aims to embody the values of Dr. George Lucas Adamson and St. Vincent De Paul for students to carry throughout their years in the university and outside as the mark of a Vincentian education.

This year’s PASINAYAAN 2018: Welcome Week Celebration, which means to inaugurate or initiate, is the most-awaited fun-filled celebration centered on the freshmen and transferees’ initiation in the community. This week-long event includes the Student Organization and Activation Recruitment (S.O.A.R.), Tatak Adamson and the Welcome Concert on August 28-31, 2018.

The event is expected to cater to 3000+ new students at the University ST Quadrangle for its annual SOAR. The Welcome Concert on August 31, 2018, is the event’s highlight. Not only will students have a chance to become part of the different Recognized Student Organizations but they may also get the chance to win freebies and prizes from the generous sponsors.

The organizers of the event hope to give the students a new experience and make the entire week memorable through a grand celebration of music and arts through its fiesta theme. PASINAYAAN 2018: Welcome Week Celebration is an initiative of the Adamson University Student Government in partnership with the Office for Student Affairs.
