This August 2018, Art In Island will be having its annual art competitions: the On-the-Spot Painting Competition and the Mural Competition.
The On-the-Spot Painting Competition is open to all talented and young Filipino artists age 11 to 17 years old. Interested students from different public and private schools will compete on August 31, 2018, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in Art In Island Museum, Quezon City. The painting competition, in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF), has the theme ‘Wildlife Conservation’ and aims to increase awareness and importance of wildlife through art.
The Mural Competition, together with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), has the theme ‘Pets’ and aims to raise awareness on protection and humane treatment of all animals. The competition is open to all Filipino artists age 18 and above and may enter the contest solo or form a team of 2 to 3 members. The murals will be made by 10 teams of finalists from August 14-19, 2018 in Art In Island Museum, Quezon City.
