The game is on with the new Sherlock-themed escape room in London

Acclaimed TV series, Sherlock, probably has the most patient and enduring fandom in the entire TV universe as fans had to wait 2 to 3 years to get three new episodes per season. And despite fans’ willingness to wait for more years to get a fifth installment to the BBC One series, it’s unlikely to get new episodes after that mind-blowing fourth season last 2017.

But things are about to get exciting for Sherlock fans as the series’ showrunners Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss is bringing us back in the game.

Moffat and Gatiss recently announced the project they’ve been working on that will immerse the fans into the world of Sherlock. In partnership with established escape room company Time Run, fans will be treated to a “90-minute cinematic adventure, combining the unique world of Sherlock with the very best of escape games.”

According to its website, the project called “The Game Is Now” will feature original cast members from the show and specially recorded video and audio sequences. In the game, Sherlock is out of the country in “some frivolous case” and visitors have to fill in his shoes and put their deductive skills to the test.

The game requires a team of 4-6 people who will dive into an all-new mystery and be Sherlock Holmes. It needs volunteers who will join The Network, “a web of spies, informants, and agents, that beaver away keeping this and other nations safe,” says Mycroft Holmes in a call-out video. Mycroft says that The Network is looking for new recruits due to temporary shortage of human resources.
