IN PHOTOS: Local and int’l acts share the stage at jam-packed Summer Noise 2018

Summer Noise 2018, a music event that showcased the best of homegrown acts as well as a handful of international musicians, was held last May 5, 2018 at the Century City Mall. The half-day concert is a project of The Rest Is Noise, an independent music event production based in Metro Manila.

Headliners include post-rock duo Permanence from Singapore, alternative rock outfit The Sleeves from Hong Kong, electronic vixens X0809 from Thailand, punk rock darlings Tiger Pussy and electro-pop act Mandaue Nights—both from Cebu.

Local acts IV OF SPADES, BP Valenzuela, Clara Benin, Dicta License., Munimuni, Oh, Flamingo!, Pedicab, Ruru, She’s Only Sixteen, The Ransom Collective, tide/edit, and Tom’s Story also performed at the event.

One of the night’s highlights was a stellar group performance from hip-hop collective Uprising, featuring Kemikal Ali, Dj Arbie Won, KJah, DJ Antsdru, Apoc, DJ Nicko, BLKD, UMPH, Supreme Fist, Juss Rye, Emar Industriya, Plazma The Demented, Illustrado [Batas, Sayadd, Goriong Talas, and Apo Lerma], Kartel (Ilaya + Tala), and Zaito.
