Masking, it appears, is the beauty trend that is here to stay, and beauty brands are getting ever-more creative in their approach to the quick-fix skincare treatments. We take a look at three of the most buzzworthy new products to hit the market.

Glamglow

Back in August, cult brand GlamGlow announced the launch of its shiny Glitter Mask, a twinkly peel-off mask that became an instant hit on the ‘Gram. The brand one-upped itself last week with the announcement, via makeup bloggers Chrisspy and Shayla, that it has joined forces with Hasbro on a “My Little Pony”-themed collection of the masks. According to Allure, the limited-edition series will comprise a trio of products inspired by Princess Luna, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie. The glittery goodies are set for release at Sephora and Glamglow.com this April.

Kiehl’s

United States skincare giant Kiehl’s stepped into the sheet mask game this month, with its first-ever oil infused mask. Dubbed “Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask,” the two-piece sheet delivers a blend of cold-pressed Amazonian Oils (including Copaiba Resin Oil, Pracaxi Oil and Andiroba Oil) to the skin, for an intense hydration boost.

Dr. Jart+

K-beauty staple Dr. Jart+ injected some fun into the masking process, with the US launch of its “Shake & Shot” masks earlier this year. The DIY rubber modeling masks are designed to be mixed up at home by shaking the cup container (making sure to cover the ‘straw’ with your finger!), before applying the mixture to the skin. The series offers four different options to target various skin issues, such as soothing, firming, brightening and hydrating.
