Hundreds of people in Limerick, Ireland gathered last January 23 to pay their respects to local hero Dolores O’Riordan, who passed away last January 16.
The event took place in the Arthur’s Quay Park where, despite the cold weather, people came in droves carrying their musical instruments to participate in a sing-along of the biggest hits of The Cranberries.
Musician Emma Langford posted a video of the event on her Twitter account showing the mourners singing When You’re Gone.
“I defy you to not get a little choked up at this,” she wrote.
“People of all ages, gathered in the cold, giving Dolores a proper send – off.” Watch the video below:

The crowd also sang “Linger” and “Zombie” while holding tea lights and using their phones’ flashlights.
Dolores was buried yesterday, January 23, at her hometown of Ballybricken, after a service at the Saint Ailbe’s Catholic church where she used to sing as part of the choir.
