JPES presents beyond colors and prejudice: Viewing the PH economy without biases

Exchange of ideas among Filipinos with different beliefs and prejudice had proliferated through the rapidly changing technology of the era as exemplified in the social media usage of the people today. Indeed, we are becoming more and more involved in talks regarding policy-making and economics, a good sign of national consciousness. This is definitely not a bad thing as healthy political discourse can lead to optimal choices. However, for discourse to lead to an optimal solution, one must learn to listen, setting aside his/her biases, and learning to compromise.

With this, the theme of this year’s National Convention was formed — Beyond Colors and Prejudice: Viewing the PH Economy Without Biases. It is in the Junior Philippine Economics Society’s belief that personal interests must be set aside in the pursuit towards inclusive economic development. The National Convention will focus on discussing major policies and projects of different government agencies and legislators, regardless of the political affiliation of the said proponents.

It will happen on February 24, 2018 (Saturday) at the University of Santo Tomas Medicine Auditorium. The event is open to everyone! Early registration is ongoing, click this link to register: https://goo.gl/vYW9Bg.
