Every 90s kid can attest to the joys (and sometimes frustrations) of having to care for a Tamagotchi virtual pet. But through the highs and lows of virtual parenthood, 90s kids have braved its trials and emerged victorious… that is until they stopped releasing the toy.
Luckily, Tamagotchi is coming back to the market and it’s coming back as an app!
In this video released by Bandai Namco Holdings Inc., Tamagotchi will return as the My Tamagotchi Forever app in iOS and Android.
The app will still have the same basic features of feeding and bathing your pet, but with the addition of a mini-series game. This game will allow users to treat their virtual pets with exciting new food items and clothes!
The release date for My Tamagotchi Friend has not yet been set, but it will be released sometime in 2018. So, it looks like 2018 is going to be a Tamagotchi-fied year for us, Millennials!
