Universal Records proudly released TALA’s brand new single “Nothing Personal”, a song that peaked at number 8 on Spotify PH’s Best 50 VIRAL Playlist.
Eighteen-year-old Tala Gil, a cousin of actress/singer Nikki Gil, began her career by posting song covers in a YouTube account this year.
“I don’t write about specific encounters I’ve been in, actually. I just think of hypothetical circumstances and try to write from this headspace. A great friend and I were talking about just how silly it is that there are those who expect more from people away, one day. It can be as innocent as enjoying beauty, nothing more. It’s really not that deep on the start. Nothing personal,” TALA said when asked about her songs.
TALA said she’s all for collaboration with other artists. “I’m motivated when given the chance to work with other men and women who prefer to become introspective about the littlest things,” she remarked.
“I consider myself very fortunate to be surrounded by insanely talented family members and friends. It is refreshing,” she added.
TALA’s single “Nothing Personal” is currently available on all digital platforms. A debut EP is set to be released in early 2018.
