Japanese cosplayer performs a jaw-dropping violin cover of ‘Kimi No na Wa’ theme song

If you have seen Makoto Shinkai’s hit animated film Kimi No na Wa (Your Name), then you must have listened to the film’s soundtrack by Japanese rock band Radwimps.

One of the film’s theme songs, “Zenzenzense,” gained a lot of traction after reaching the top spot on Billboard Japan Hot 100. And because of its popularity, a lot of people created their own cover of the song.

But one particular version stood out amongst the rest. It is by Ayasa, a 26-year-old lady from Tokyo, Japan. She started playing the violin at the age of three and attended music school. Other than playing the violin, Ayasa is also a cosplayer. She is popularly known for her violin covers of several anime shows while cosplaying as the main character.

Out of all her covers, Your Name theme song, “Zenzenzense” by Radwimps, is the most-watched video in her YouTube channel. It did not come as surprise, of course, because it is so damn good! Not only was her violin skills on point, she also looked like Mitsuha Miyamizu, one of the film’s protagonist. Watch the video and see for yourself:
