A man from Tucson, Arizona accidentally torched down his mobile home after he attempted to kill spiders and burn their webs using a makeshift blowtorch.
Tucson Fire responded to a 911 call reporting smoke and flames coming from a mobile home at around 9:19 in the evening Sunday night.
Firefighters arrived to discover an elderly woman had been rescued from the blaze by her son and neighbors. The woman sustained minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
It took 23 firefighters eleven minutes to put out the blaze. While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials suspect the DIY torch—a can of spray paint and a lighter—was what started the conflagration.
