In our commitment to champion the profession and hone future ten-star pharmacists for the country, UP Sandigan actively partakes in advancing the profession’s image through spearheading events for student pharmacists and licensed pharmacists alike in partnership with distinguished nationwide pharmacy organizations such as the Philippine Pharmaceutical Association (PPhA) and Young Pharmacists Group (YPG) Philippines; and last year, pioneering a summit merging the concepts of Media and Pharmacy – the first of its kind in the country through The First PharmacoMedia Summit: Unde℞posed.
In the advent of technology, media affect our lives more than we realize. Our choices, consumer behavior, and even beliefs are greatly influenced by our daily exposure to media. With the theme “Undistorted”, the second installment of The PharmacoMedia Summit will challenge how pharmacists and health professionals communicate adequate drug and health information that are reliable, unbiased, patient-centered, and easy to comprehend through highlighting the impact of ethical pharmaceutical promotion to the general public; and through the maximization of multiple media platforms to draw attention to health campaigns and advocacies.
Experts from the fields of marketing, healthcare, and the pharmacy profession well-versed in these topics will be invited to facilitate the summit.
Witness the unity of Media and Pharmacy by registering at tiny.cc/PMS2017. The 2nd PharmacoMedia Summit: Undistorted will be held on September 9, 2017 (Saturday), 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at the De La Salle University, Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.
