“This is the greatest mainstream fantasy/ Yes, by the old gods and the new, this I swear to thee…”
So begins this Game of Thrones-inspired parody of the classic Queen song “Bohemian Rhapsody”. We know the lyrics of this timeless banger has been rewritten a lot of times– there’s Mom’s Rhapsody that’s about motherhood struggles, Bohemian Gravity that’s about string theory, Brohemian Rhapsody which is about a bunch of frat boys, and so much more– but this version is our favorite!
The video pretty much covers the basic plotlines of the wildly popular show, and has a bunch of spoilers from season 1 to season 6 (Fair warning if you haven’t seen the show. Who hasn’t at this point, though?)
The lyrics of the parody are going to make all GoT fans laugh and relive all the amazing moments of the show, plus all the trauma we’ve collectively had to live through:
It takes a hit at Cersei and Jaime, who basically started this whole mess because they can’t keep it in their pants:
A whole verse is dedicated to the badass Mother of Dragons:
And they also mention the pairing we never knew we wanted until they gave it to us:
There’s even an outright plea to George R.R. Martin to keep his murderous pen away from Tyrion:
The clever parody, which was published last month via YouTube, was written, co-produced, and edited by Andrew Davenport. Davenport was also the lead vocals of the track while the vocal harmonies were composed and performed by Nathan Terry. It was engineered and co-produced by Rozhan Razman.
