Green learning tools and modern adaptability will take centerstage on July 8 to 10, 2026 as the Philippine Academic Book Fair returns for its 27th edition at Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall.

The three-day gathering of the country’s educators, librarians, and academics is organized by the Academic Booksellers Association of the Philippines (ABAP), with Primetrade Asia, Inc. as co-organizer. Recognized as a vital marketplace, the fair serves teachers, researchers, institutional buyers, and students who are seeking to upgrade and expand their educational resources.
This year’s theme “Navigating the Future of Education with Adaptive and Green Learning Tools” highlights the urgent need for sustainability and flexibility in today’s rapidly changing academic landscape.
“Education is evolving quickly, and our schools need to adapt while keeping sustainability in mind,” said ABAP president Evelyn Millar. “Through this year’s fair, we want to give our educators and librarians an accessible space to find the green and adaptive tools they need to prepare Filipino students for what’s ahead.”
The exhibition floor will feature a comprehensive selection of international journals, academic texts, magazines, electronic references, publishing aids, audio-visual materials, and advanced computing solutions.

Beyond the physical materials, the book fair doubles as a professional hub, hosting highly anticipated seminars focused on digital transition and library innovation. July 8 opens with a two-part forum by the Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians, Inc. (PAARL) titled “Navigating Adaptive and Versatile Innovations for Green Academic and Technology-Enabled Libraries.”
The learning sessions continue on July 10, courtesy of the Philippine Librarians’ Association Inc. (PLAI) Centered on the theme “CARE: Cultivating Active, Resilience, and Empowered Librarians,” the afternoon features two specialized topics: “The Well-Being Librarian: Nurturing Yourself While Serving” and “Fit for Service: Strengthening Physical Health in the Library Profession.”
