Content creator apologizes as criticisms mount over inappropriate ‘medical humor’ posts

Content creator Jaypee Panuncio issues an apology after receiving criticisms on his posts online.

For context, the content creator posted several “medical humor” videos on his Facebook page that have become triggering to some viewers.

Jaypee Panuncio

“Today, I want to sincerely address those people who have been harassed, disrespected, and made to feel sexualized by my recent video that has been circulating online. I want to make it clear that it was never my intention to make anyone feel that way, I am doing my best in my workplace, living up to its mission, vision, and goals,” he wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.

Panuncio added, “I deeply regret that my content caused discomfort or offense, and I fully acknowledge the impact it caused. I am sorry.”

The content creator asserts that he understands the criticism being directed at him, going so far as taking accountability by reading the messages sent to him.

The content creator proceeded to ask a favor from everyone to stop messaging or threatening his parents and wrote, “I do have one favor to please stop messaging or threatening my parents. They had no part in my actions and do not deserve to be involved or harassed because of my mistake. We all have a soft spot for our loved ones, and I hope you can understand and respect that side.”

He also emphasized that it was never his intention “to cause pain in anyone’s life” and that he is “committed to learning and growing from this experience.”

People then took to social media to share their thoughts on his statement.

One user wrote, “Be careful of this kind people. Radtech na manyak. He’s giving a bad name to the role. Here is his non-apology. Clearly he is very predatory, lalo na sa isang situation where patients are vulnerable tapos he will exploit it! See comments for his deleted posts.”

Another user wrote, “Mukhang kelangan sya matanggalan ng lisensya para mag focus nlang sya sa pagiging content creator [It seems like he needs to get his license revoked so he can focus on being a content creator].”

A third user wrote, “Oh classic example to kids: ALAM MO NA NGANG MALI, GAGAWEN MO PA. Ang dami daming pwedeng gawing content pinili mo pa yung maddrag yung program [Oh classic example to kids: YOU KNOW IT”S WRONG, YOU’LL STILL DO IT. There’s so much content that can be made into something, you’ve chosen the one that drags the program].”

More social media users shared their thoughts on the said issue, with some pointing out that their respective institutions should not tolerate this kind of mentality among their staff.

Two of the videos that have caught the attention of social media users can no longer be seen on his page as they have been deleted.
