Its official synopsis read: “Welcome back to Elmore, where the laws of reality are a joke and family life is anything but ordinary. Whether he’s battling an evil fast-food empire, facing off against a sentient AI in love with his mom, or trying to stop Banana Joe from wearing pants – Gumball Watterson drags his brother Darwin, sister Anais, and the rest of the town of Elmore along for the ride.”
“With even wilder stories, bigger twists, and surreal humor, the show is so amazing that they had to rename it!” it added.
The production also showed a glimpse of Gumball’s new world through a teaser trailer. In it, Gumball, who’s heavily covered in dust, can be seen waking up to his alarm. The blue cat looks around and calls Darwin, who announces that they’re “late for school” as he wakes up in his dust-covered fishbowl.
“How late?” Gumball asks, to which Darwin replies, “About seven years.”
The two characters then gasp before deciding to take a five-minute nap.
As soon as the news of “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball” hit the internet, social media was buzzing with fans’ excitement as Gumball was reintroduced to the world after seven years.
Gumball was unironically the best new show to come out of Cartoon Network since Ed Edd n Eddy. Crazy how good the writers are at comedy

This brings me a level of joy I can’t properly describe. The animation is still on point. The trend of spot on voice casting to carry each torch. This series was so needed and deserved!
