South Korean superstar Lee Minho delighted Filipino fans during his fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, April 26, where he showcased his fun and competitive side by playing traditional Filipino games like tumbang preso and balloon pop.

Known as the OG Oppa, Lee Minho fully embraced Filipino culture, transforming the event into a lively and interactive experience. He invited three lucky fans from the audience to join him in games that kept the entire arena buzzing with excitement.
Two fans, Ivy from South Cotabato and Connie from Samar, faced off against Minho in a game of tumbang preso. Despite their best efforts, the actor-singer came out on top, winning the round with 2 points.
But it was the balloon pop segment that truly sent the crowd into a frenzy. Minho shared a playful moment with a fan named Vilma from Pangasinan, standing side by side as they competed to pop balloons. The close contact between Minho and his fan had the audience cheering and swooning, making for a memorable highlight of the event.
The fan meeting, titled Minhoverse, also featured a mini-concert where Minho performed some of his iconic ballads, including “I Love You,” “Always,” and “Without You.” Fans were treated to a glimpse into Minho’s world as he answered questions during a Q&A segment, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes and personal stories.
When asked to choose between his most beloved characters from his hit dramas, including Kim Tan from The Heirs and Gu Jun-pyo from Boys Over Flowers, Minho entertained the crowd with his lighthearted responses.
In a heartwarming moment, Minho even spoke a few words in Tagalog, delighting fans when he invited them to “go home with him,” saying, “Uwi tayo sa bahay ko (Let’s go home to my house).”
The 37-year-old actor also expressed his admiration for the Filipino audience, mentioning how well he felt he fit in with the country, especially enjoying the warm weather. “I arrived two nights ago. Natulog ako ng napakahimbing for 15 hours. I think bagay na bagay ako sa Pilipinas (I’m really suited for the Philippines),” he said, causing the crowd to erupt in laughter.
Minho, who rose to international fame after starring in the iconic series Boys Over Flowers in 2009, has since become a household name, known for his roles in City Hunter (2011), The Heirs (2013), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), and The King: Eternal Monarch (2020).
In October 2023, Minho was named the newest brand ambassador for SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and headlined a special fan meeting to celebrate the company’s 65th anniversary.
