Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman may be served subpoenas in the legal battle between It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
“Anyone that had any knowledge of this situation will be subpoenaed, no matter of their celebrity status,” an anonymous source told People.
That same publication, however, also included an individual who denied the theory, saying that neither Swift nor Jackman are “privy to anything going on” and that the idea that they might be involved is just “smoke and mirrors… trying to distract from the allegations against Baldoni.”
The pop sensation is the godmother of Lively’s four children with Ryan Reynolds, and she has been friends with Swift for a long time.
Reynolds and Jackman co-starred in Deadpool & Wolverine, and the two have a long-standing friendship that was once a lighthearted rivalry.
The two co-stars of 2024’s It Ends with Us, Baldoni and Lively, are involved in a variety of court battles around her claim that the director sexually harassed her and his allegation that she and Reynolds tried to ruin his career.
Swift was previously mentioned in the lawsuit following the revelation that Lively had edited a crucial rooftop scene from It Ends With Us herself. The text exchanges that were part of Baldoni’s claim seem to indicate that the two discussed these adjustments.
“I really love what you did. It really does help a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor),” Baldoni said in one message, adding a wink emoji. “You really are a talent across the board. Really excited and grateful to do this together.”
Blake Lively has not yet commented on the subpoena possibly being issued to Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman as of this writing.
