Sunshine Prince Hotel in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district decided to give their guests a unique hotel experience with their rooms designed after two of your favorite animes — Gintama and Yuri!!! On Ice
The hotel first launched its Gintama-themed rooms last April featuring life-sized standees of anime characters, Gintoki and the gang, greeting the guests as they enter. There are also pillows and posters featuring the other characters from the anime adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s acclaimed manga.
To complete the look, they’ve also adorned the rooms with other paraphernalias that Gintama fans will surely recognize!
But if that’s not enough, the hotel left some freebies for guests to bring home with them such as: character acrylic stands, message cards, IC card stickers, and a fundoshi-type hand towel.
If you are planning a trip to Tokyo, you can still experience this Gintama concept rooms until October 10! But if you prefer another anime-themed room experience, you can also check out their collaboration with the hit anime, Yuri!!! On Ice.
These are slightly different from Gintama-themed rooms. Chibi (Japanese slang for “short or small”) versions of the characters on life-sized posters are all over the wall. Yuri will keep you warm and cozy because you’ll find them on the bed sheet covers. There are also stuffed toys and other related items to adorn the room.
And of course, guests will not leave empty-handed with this special goods set, which is inclusive of three bookmarks, a place mat, a plastic figure stand, and a message card.
The Yuri!!! On Ice-themed rooms are available until September, so make sure you book your rooms in advance so you won’t miss out!
