EXO’s Chanyeol sings ‘Raining in Manila’ in Japan, thrills Filipino fans

It seems like Chanyeol fell in love with Manila.

EXO member Chanyeol is currently on his first solo concert tour, City-Scape. During Day 2 of the Osaka concert on November 27, he performed his usual country roll call, starting with Korea.

He then apologized to his Korean fans during the concert for speaking only in Japanese, as they were in Japan. Chanyeol also expressed his gratitude to everyone who attended.

During the country roll call, he also acknowledged his fans from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, making an effort to greet them in their respective languages.

When he heard that he had fans from the Philippines, he delighted the crowd by singing Lola Amour’s iconic “Raining in Manila,” but with a twist—he changed the lyrics to “Raining in Osaka” instead.

It seems that it’s not just Filipino Chanyeol fans experiencing post-concert depression, as he also performed a short cover of the song in Japan.

On October 19, Chanyeol held a concert in Manila as part of his 2024 City-Scape live tour.
