Filipino KatyCats were able to their teenage dreams as they immersed themselves in the wonderful eras of Katy Perry through #KP6Wonders.
On October 26, KatyCats celebrated the pop icon’s birthday and milestones as they gathered around the SM Mall of Asia for the #KP6Wonders Photo Experience.
All dressed up in their chic and stylish suits, fans of the “Teenage Dream” singer showed off their smiles as they struck a pose in a Katy Perry-designed photo wall and photo booth.
But what made KatyCats roar with even more excitement was they could win exclusive prizes.
Not only did they get to relive Katy’s eras, but they were also given a chance to win #KP6Wonders merchandise, Php6,000 worth of shopping vouchers, official #KP6Wonders photo cards, and a virtual meet and greet with the lady of the hour, Katy Perry herself.
All they had to do was to save the #KP6Wonders playlist on Spotify, show off their best smiles, and share their fun-filled experience, and their biggest teenage dream of meeting the pop star could be fulfilled.
However, #KP6Wonders is more than just KatyCats’ shot at meeting the singer. In fact, the activity had become a great platform for Filipino KatyCats to interact with fellow fans and share their love for the multi-award-winning artist.
“We are very thankful for this event because this gave us a chance not only to celebrate Katy’s birthday and work, but it also helps us bond with fellow KatyCats,” said John Ray, who has been Katy’s fan for 11 years now.
Dale, another KatyCat who first heard about the singer in 2008, also shared the same sentiment.
“Katy’s music has helped me cope with my problems… Through #KP6Wonders, we, KatyCats, were given a chance to gather and share the same experiences we have when listening to her music,” he added.
For Paul, who has been a fan since he was five years old, he admitted that he was nervous and overwhelmed attending the photo experience.
With #KP6Wonders being his first event with his fellow KatyCats, Paul shared that he was able to meet new friends, and the feeling of being overwhelmed eventually disappeared.
“This is my first time meeting my fellow KatyCats and it has been overwhelming at first,” Paul recalled. “But they were all so accommodating and friendly. And I’m very thankful for this experience because we all got the chance to make new friends!”
Mark, on the other hand, reflected on how this experience was a testament to ensuring Filipino KatyCats had a great time celebrating Katy Perry and her works.
“It’s inspiring to see how this event showed that we, Filipino KatyCats, are being valued,” he said.
“Katy’s music has made a great impact on my life. She helped me to be creative, and strong, and to fight for my dreams. She has also become an inspiration to many KatyCats out there,” he continued. “And this is why we’re grateful to have an event such as this because we get to share our stories.”
Indeed, #KP6Wonders was a sweet treat for KatyCats as this special celebration has helped them channel their inner pop star, bring Katy’s energy to life, and bond with their fellow fans.
