Andrea Brillantes draws ire for alleged ‘celebrity privilege’ at Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘GUTS’ concert

Actress Andrea Brillantes is facing backlash for allegedly having ticket privileges at Olivia Rodrigo’s recent concert, ‘Guts,’ here in Manila.

Before the concert, several social media users questioned how quickly she obtained tickets for the show, especially since it wasn’t easy for fans to secure theirs. Many took to the internet to share their thoughts on the situation.

One user wrote, “i don’t really give a s–t about andrea brillantes but taking advantage of what is supposed to be a charity con is … have some morals lol.”

Another user wrote, “you know what? andrea brillantes deserves the flak because no matter how you try to see it, she (+ those other influencers) took advantage of a broken system. but what makes this situation even sadder is this is for a good cause and olivia and her team put their trust in us.”

Just so insensitive lang to think na 1.5k na nga lang yung ticket [Just so insensitive just to think that 1.5 k is the price of the ticket] and it is a benefit concert but people like andrea brillantes and bea borres still took their “celebrity privilege” para makapan-lamang lang [just to take advantage],” a third user wrote.

She then added, “Oopsiee- I just realized I worded that poorly, and it came off as me bragging about my spot. But y’all got it wrong:/ what I meant to say was, sa aga ko pumila kaninang umaga [when I stood in line this morning] I ended up first in line in my queue number lane. Kaya ako lang tao nandun [So I was the only person there] bc I lined up very early for it 🙂 it wasn’t VIP treatment or anything magical.”

As discussions continue to unfold on social media, many fans and attendees are seeking clarity regarding the ticketing process for the ‘Guts’ concert.
