X-OVER lights up the stage with exciting cross-cover performances from top local and international artists

Last August 8, the hidden bar Sari Sari came alive as a vibrant playground for X-OVER. The event dazzled with a mix of cross-cover performances and genre-blending magic, featuring an eclectic lineup of both local and international artists.

The night kicked off with Ysanygo, the dynamic duo of Ysa and Ygo Ferraz. They set the tone by covering “Daisies” by Good Neighbours, transforming it with their signature groove. Their performance of “Even in an Alternate Universe” showcased their unique style, drawing the crowd into their captivating world with soothing vocals.

Following Ysanygo was Hey June!, whose high-energy set was a thrilling spectacle. With Jim Mase, Coey Ballesteros, and Aci Fodra leading the charge, the band delivered a high-energy performance of “Lasik” from their latest album, Curiosity Killed the Cat. Their performance was electric, with heads banging, hair flipping, and the crowd jumping in unison. The intense energy and enthusiasm on stage made the crowd even more alive, eagerly anticipating what was next. Their cover of “Tidal Wave” by Almost Monday ended their set on a summer high, making the crowd even more excited.

Never The Strangers, featuring  kept the momentum going with their spellbinding performance. Their cover of “Creatures in Heaven” by Glass Animals and their latest single “Alone” captivated the audience, with the drummer’s performance adding a special touch of brilliance to the chill, yet enthralling set.

As the night deepened, the excitement reached a fever pitch with ena mori’s arrival. The Filipino-Japanese singer-songwriter knew exactly how to hype up the crowd, kicking off her set with an engaging talk and doing the famous phrase “ey ka muna ey,” which had the audience cheering with satisfaction. She energized the crowd with “TALK! TALK!” and later had everyone singing along to her cover of “To Be Alright” by Aurora. Her set, including her song “SOS” and her latest song “Trust Me,” left the audience in awe and wanting more.

Fern. took the stage next, igniting the crowd with an upbeat keyboard performance. His cover of keshi’s “Say” and original song “SO FLY” had the crowd in a state of bliss. Fern. wrapped up his performance with “Baby Rye,” leaving the audience thoroughly entertained.

X-OVER’s grand finale belonged to Dionela, who commanded the stage with his much-anticipated set. Opening with “Langit,” Dionela had the crowd singing along from the very first note. His cover of “Too Sweet” by Hozier and the electrifying performance of “Hoodie” kept the energy soaring.

Midway through his set, UMG Philippines surprised Dionela with an award celebrating his achievement of 360 million streams.

Before wrapping up with his hit song “Sining,” Dionela took a moment to express his gratitude to Jay R, acknowledging his significant role in the success of the song. The evening culminated with Dionela and Jay R delivering an unforgettable performance of “Sining,” making the night truly remarkable.

X-OVER was an incredible night of music, combining local and international talent for an unforgettable experience. The crowd, pumped up by amazing performances and a lively atmosphere, made it a night to remember.
