With the forthcoming of a new academic year in UP Diliman, students are once again greeted with opportunities and rewarding challenges. For Freshmen, however, it marks a New Beginning of a chapter in their lives. Incoming Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering students, get ready for an electrifying experience as the Freshmen Event, InteraCKT 14: New Beginning, is about to commence! Hosted by UP Circuit, this initiative is designed to celebrate the fresh start of these new students into the exciting world of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
InteraCKT 14: New Beginning is more than just a Freshie event—it’s a celebration of their entry into the dynamic world of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Over three action-packed days, a series of engaging activities have been lined up to introduce students to their new academic environment, help them connect with peers, and ignite their passion for engineering.
The adventure starts with a virtual Welcoming Event on Zoom. This day is all about sparking connections and launching their journey with energy and enthusiasm. Students will enjoy interactive games with great prizes, a raffle with exciting giveaways, and a chance to hear from one of UP Circuit’s inspiring alumni, who will share her journey in the EEE world. An optional movie night will be held to round off the evening as a relaxed opportunity to mingle with their fellow freshmen.
On the second day, the event shifts gears to an exciting on-campus experience. Students will dive into a series of informative Academic talks to prepare them for their upcoming coursework in Physics, Math, and EEE-specific subjects. They’ll also experience the energy of the interactive Institour—a unique treasure hunt that will guide participants through the EEE Institute, helping them get familiar with key facilities and meet their fellow students through this fun activity.
InteraCKT 14 wraps up with an exhilarating UP Diliman Campus Tour! Explore the beautiful UP Diliman grounds, from the National Science Complex to Palma Hall and Melchor Hall. The tour, led by UP Circuit members, offers a glimpse into the vibrant campus life and key locations students will frequently visit. As a special highlight, they’ll get an exclusive preview of the new Learning Commons Building at the UP College of Engineering Library 2, giving them a head start on their study resources.
