IMAKADIWA: DLSU UNIVWEEK 2017

It’s that time of the year again, when Lasallians far and wide come together. University Week 2017, fondly called as Univweek by the community, is making rounds with another life-changing event.

IMAKADIWA: SIGAW NG PAGLILINGKOD

This year’s theme is service – a value ingrained in every Lasallian from start to finish. With current events showcasing the least and most unfortunate, there is no better time than now to answer the call of service.

University Week is DLSU’s own way of showcasing its distinct form of service. This event provides an opportunity for the student body to explore a variety of their skills and discover new aspects of themselves. It believes that by doing so, there can be actual motivation to serve the community by doing what they love. As an annual fundraising event for five chosen beneficiaries, the community is provided fun and educational activities organized by DLSU’s different sectors to encourage everybody to participate.

If you’re into shopping and hope to score some great bargains, Univweek’s bazaar is the place to be! There is always an array of food choices and merchandise that ensures no one leaves with their hands empty. If you’re looking to learn a thing or two beyond college courses, enroll in a LEAP or alternative class. If you’re an adventurous soul, give Race Manila a shot and zoom through the city relearning all your history classes with amazing prizes in store!

UnivWeek knows how to bridge the gap between enjoyable and beneficial, effectively encouraging Lasallians to participate.

This call to serve is extended to the rest of the public through Univweek’s Culminight – the big hoorah after the weeklong festivities. This culminating concert will be held on June 16, 2017, at the Henry Sy Sr. Lobby, where outsiders, both Lasallians and non-Lasallians who wish to participate in the festivities, can opt to buy tickets and enjoy the program! The rates are P350 for outsiders, P300 for DLSU alumi and P500 for VIP. The lineup will be released via DLSU Univweek’s social media handles via Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram. Go ahead and follow @dlsuunivweek and keep posted!
