Jessica Madsen of ‘Bridgerton’ proudly shares her love for a woman as she celebrates Pride Month

Jessica Madsen, 32, who plays Cressida Cowper on the hit series ‘Bridgerton,’ celebrated the start of Pride Month. On her official Instagram account, she posted a caption that reads: “In love with a woman, loud and proud about it!”

Several colorful, black and white, and symbolic photos were posted. One that has a glittery “Happy Pride Month,” a black and white shot of a march in New York, vibrant shadows of a heart-shaped hand, and at the end of the swipe is a short video of Madsen sporting her black bucket hat that says “Love Supreme,” her cheeks embezzled with rainbow rhinestones, and a tie-dye shirt.

Many of her co-stars showed their love and support for Madsen.

Nicola Coughlan who plays Penelope Featherington commented pink hearts with sparkles: 💖💖💖💖💖

Joanna Bobin who plays Araminta Cowper wrote: Go baby girl! Love you.”

Other followers have also expressed their excitement of Madsen’s bold outing. Some have commented that they were really suspecting that the actress was a little “fruity.”

“THIS IS WHY I FELT CRELOISE! My gaydar wasn’t wrong one a serious note, I’m so happy for you!” one commenter said referencing the bond being created between Cressida and Eloise being played by Claudia Jessie.

“OMFG iconic. I told someone the other day you gave me big femme gay vibes and I love to see it to be true! Happy pride and happy coming out on the gram!” another responded.

“You’re such a win for the community! Literally crying in happy tear, it feels so good to be represented. SLAY QUEEN,” another user replied.

In 2023, the actress had also posted that she was in celebration of Pride Month. She may have dropped some hints that fans may have failed to see through.

The post she made last year’s Pride Month was a series of meaningful images that also show the colors of the rainbow. At the end of the swipe, a strong message on bisexuality was posted: “Bisexual are not ‘confused.'”

Madsen thanked everyone for their kind messages, but the identity of the “woman” she said she is in love with is yet to be known.

Happy pride, Jess!
