In the midst of graduation season, a photo has gone viral featuring a student who is wearing a nazi costume which is turning people’s heads right now.
The graduating student changed his profile photo on Facebook sporting an Adolf Hitler costume with the caption, “Graduation pic goes hard.”
While the student anticipated a positive reaction, the response was quite the opposite.
Social media users online were not amused upon seeing the photo and took to social media to express their disappointment with the student.
While the backlash was swift, there’s also a concerning number of comments defending the teen for what he did and chalking up the backlash to “wokeness.”
Upon receiving backlash, he has since removed his profile photo and issued an apology via Facebook. “I apologize to everyone offended by me regarding the trending post of me wearing Adolf’s Uniform. I want to inform you all that I never intended to offend anyone and I never expected it to go viral,” he wrote. As of this writing, the user seemed to have deactivated his account.
He proceeded to explain the caption he placed on the photo and wrote, “As for the caption ‘Graduation pic goes hard’ That photo was taken outside the school, and that was never my actual Graduation picture since of course, no school allows pictures like this to be taken as a Graduation pic.”
He clarified that Sto. Domingo NHS and Lumil Integrated NHS have nothing to do with this, and the photograph was taken after their actual graduation pictorial.
“Also to those who are thinking about why I didn’t take immediate action during the period of it going viral was because I was already asleep,” he ended his statement.
After issuing this statement, his post now cannot be retrieved as he has deactivated his account. Other netizens have also noticed that before he deactivated his account, he posted on his ‘My Day’ with a screenshot that shows his violations and that he has received restrictions on his Facebook account for violating community standards on dangerous individuals and organizations.
