Park Min Young’s Manila debut ‘My Brand New Day’ fancon brings heartfelt moments

Park Min Young finally graced the Philippines with her long-awaited debut at the ‘My Brand New Day’ fan meeting held at SM SkyDome on May 12, 2024.

A day before the event, the actress, known for her hit K-Dramas such as “Marry My Husband” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” held a press conference where she apologized to the Filo Beans for her delayed visit to the country.

“I always wanted to come here to the Philippines for you guys, but I’m literally late so I’m really sorry about that. But now I’m here, and I wanted to say thank you so much for your love and support always, thank you! 20 years? To the fans who will come to my fan meeting tomorrow, let’s have a blast tomorrow, everyone. I love you all. Thank you so much,” Park Min Young said at Ayala Malls Market! Market! in Taguig City.

Certainly, just like the actress promised, the event was nothing short of magical as both the actress and her Filipino fans shared unforgettable moments together.

At the fan meeting, Park Min Young showcased her talents and dazzled the crowd with three mesmerizing stage performances. These included renditions of songs from her most recent drama, “Marry My Husband,” as well as notable songs by Miley Cyrus and Jennie from BLACKPINK.

Park Min Young also had close interactions with her supporters. Fans were given exclusive access to her life through segments like “Min Young’s Day,” where previously unseen images of the actress were presented, and “Day Bye Day Drama,” which offered behind-the-scenes looks at her well-known roles. In one of these activities as well, the actress hinted to fans that her upcoming project will be of a different genre and not a rom-com.

Aside from these, a definite highlight of the evening too was when the actress experienced an intense surge of emotion following an unexpected fan video project entitled, “Everyday is a Brand New Day with You.” Park Min Young was driven to tears by the outpouring of love from her devoted followers.

The event concluded on a touching note, with Park Min Young expressing her gratitude through a heartfelt letter, promising to return to the Philippines soon and enjoy a Filipino go-to dessert, halo-halo.
